Chemistry Department

The Department of Chemistry was established in 1987 with the aim of imparting quality education and fostering scientific temperament among students. It offers a comprehensive curriculum under the NEP framework at undergraduate and postgraduate levels( MSc Analytical Chemistry), covering Physical, Organic, Inorganic, and Analytical Chemistry. The department is committed to its mission of developing technologically competent and socially responsible individuals. Well-equipped laboratories provide hands-on training and exposure to modern analytical techniques. Special emphasis is laid on skill-based courses such as instrumentation, data analysis, and industrial applications. The department actively promotes research aptitude through projects, seminars, and participation in events like Aavishkar. Strong industry interaction is ensured through regular industrial visits and training programs. Students are encouraged to participate in workshops, conferences, and competitive exams to enhance their scientific communication skills. The department also organizes various co-curricular activities like Chemophillia, field visits, and community- based projects.
